What you will do
This guide shows how to authorise the GitHub integration, choose which repositories Linear can see, and confirm that a pull request links back to an issue. When you finish, the change is saved in Linear and you can confirm it without leaving the screen you ended on.
Steps at a glance
- Open workspace settings
- Select Integrations, then GitHub
- Authorise Linear on GitHub
- Choose which repositories to expose
- Set the branch naming pattern
- Save the integration
- Confirm the link on a test pull request
Notes and limitations
A GitHub organisation owner has to approve the installation before other members see the integration. If you are not an owner, the request stays pending until someone approves it.
